Lugar y fecha de nacimiento. Ernie Hudson (1945 - ) Actor Also: Playwright, producer Born As: Ernest Hudson Born: December 17, 1945, Benton Harbor, MI Education: Wayne State (speech and English); Yale School of Drama; University of Minnesota Until his supporting role as a sweet-natured, mentally disabled handyman in the surprise hit thriller, LA MANO QUE MECE LA CUNA (1992), Ernie Hudson was best known as the black phantom-fighter in LOS CAZAFANTASMAS (1984) and CAZAFANTASMAS II (1989). He made his feature debut in Gordon Parks's acclaimed biopic LEADBELLY (1976) and, in the years that followed, quietly built a name for himself with appearances on stage, on TV and in features. Hudson has guest-starred in episodes of La Isla de la Fantasía, El Increíble Hulk, La Casita en la Pradera, Diff'rent Strokes, Taxi, One Day at a Time, Gimme A Break, The A-Team, Webster y Cop Rock. He was a recurring character for one season of St. Elsewhere and a regular on several short-lived series. Imposing yet amiable, Hudson added a low key, down-to-earth perspective to the zany proceedings of the LOS CAZAFANTASMAS (1984) films. His performance as Solomon the handyman in LA MANO QUE MECE LA CUNA (1992) ignited some controversy, with some attacking the role as a demeaning stereotype.
