Frances Fisher (1952 - ) Actress Born: May 11, 1952, Milford-on-Sea, England Education: Lutcherstark High School; HB Studio The sympathetic, beautiful red-haired Fisher has portrayed strong women on film and TV since the early 1980s. Born in England and raised there as well as in Italy, Turkey, and Texas, she got her start on The Edge of Night, appearing as Deborah Saxon from 1976 to 1981. Fisher followed with a brief turn playing a record executive on The Guiding Light (1985). During that time, she was studying at the Actor's Studio and appeared in such shows as Warsaw Opera (1980), The War Brides (1981), Fool for Love (1984) y Desire Under the Elms (1985). Fisher made her screen debut with Henry Jaglom's CAN SHE BAKE A CHERRY PIE? (1983), and went on to appear in mostly supporting roles in many features including Norman Mailer LOS HOMBRES DUROS NO TIEMBLAN (1987), Paul Schrader critically-acclaimed PATTY HEARST (1988), as one of the kidnappers, BIENVENIDA A CASA (1990), L.A. STORY (1991), Jaglom's BABYFEVER (1994), and STRIPTEASE (1996) with Demi Moore. From 1989 to 1995, Fisher was romantically involved with actor-director Clint Eastwood and appeared in his EN LA PISTA DE LOS ASESINOS (1989) and as a steely hooker in LOS IMPERDONABLES (1992). TV movies have provided a bonanza for Fisher, beginning with BROKEN VOWS (CBS, 1987). Among the more notable have been SUDIE AND SIMPSON (Lifetime, 1990), as Lucille Ball in the ill-conceived LUCY & DESI: BEFORE THE LAUGHTER (CBS, 1991), ATTACK OF THE 50 FT. WOMAN (HBO, 1993), and THE OTHER MOTHER (NBC, 1995). She has turned up as a guest on many series (En el Calor de la Noche, Newhart, The Equalizer, Roseanne, Matlock) and also appeared regularly as a waitress in the paranormal drama Strange Luck (Fox, 1995).
