USA (1915 -). Actor norteamericano nacido el 7 de Diciembre de 1915 en Brooklyn, Nueva York. Prominent method actor of the 1950s who had made his Broadway debut in 1945, following his wartime service. Wallach's first screen role came in BABY DOLL (1956), adapted from works by Tennessee Williams. He went on to portray numerous, often hot-headed characters, from the Mexican bandito in LOS SIETE MAGNIFICOS (1960) to the contemptible pistolero in the landmark spaghetti western, LO BUENO LO MALO Y LO FEO (1966). Wallach gradually mellowed into more sober, avuncular roles, often appearing in tandem with his wife, actress Anne Jackson. Father of special effects director Peter Wallach.
