Lugar y fecha de nacimiento. Tom Arnold (1959 - ) Actor, producer Also: Comedian, writer Born: March 6, 1959, Ottumwa, IA Education: Indian Hills Community College One of the more controversial TV personalities of the 1990s, this thick-set and amazingly nervous comic actor, comedian, and TV producer began his career as a stand-up comic in his native Iowa. Arnold met fellow comic Roseanne Barr in 1983 and moved to LA in 1989 to become a writer on her TV series Roseanne. The following year, Arnold and Barr were wed and he became first a producer, next a co-executive producer, and finally executive producer on the show as well as a recurring character. Arnold was dismissed in many quarters as an obnoxious opportunist of dubious talent who lucked out by marrying a brilliant and popular artist. Others enjoyed his brash, edgy style. In any event, Arnold did extremely well for a man who once worked at a Hormel meat packing plant in Iowa pulling the fat out of the innards of hogs. In their public personas, the Arnolds became sort of a twisted Burns and Allen, appearing across the country on a 25-city Honeymoon Tour, where their errant brand of comedy and candor alternately repulsed and captivated the nation. Arnold once described himself and Roseanne as America's worst nightmarewhite trash with money.
