Priscilla Lane (1917 - 1995) Actress Born As: Priscilla Mullican Born: June 12, 1917, Indianola, IA Died: April 4, 1995, Andover, MA The youngest and best-looking of the three Lane Sisters (the others: Lola Lane, Rosemary Lane), she attended Simpson College, a music conservatory in Des Moines, and along with Rosemary entered show business as a vocalist with Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians. The sisters toured with the band for several years, arriving in Hollywood in 1937 to appear with the Pennsylvanians in the Warner Bros. film VARSITY SHOW (1937). Both girls were signed by the studio on long-term contracts, joining sister Lola, by then a veteran of the screen. The trio achieved popularity in the late 30s and early 40s in a series of sentimental dramas that was launched with FOUR DAUGHTERS (1938). A vibrant blue-eyed, sweet-looking blonde, Priscilla enjoyed the most successful screen career among the sisters, starring in such major productions as BROTHER RAT (1938), THE ROARING TWENTIES (1939), SABOTEADORES (1942), and ARSENICO Y ENCAJE ANTIGUO (1944). She retired from the screen in 1948.
